Deli Cheese Chipotle Melt

Melted cheese and chipotle chile peppers make this turkey BLT sandwich a crowd-pleasing favorite.

1 (16-ounce) loaf  French bread, sliced lengthwise

3/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon chopped chipotle chile peppers in adobo sauce

16 ounces sliced deli turkey breast

8 slices crisply cooked thick smoked bacon

8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American

6 slices tomato

4  lettuce leaves


Heat broiler. Place bread halves onto ungreased baking sheet.

Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat 1-2 minutes or until bread is lightly toasted. 

Combine mayonnaise and chipotle chiles in adobo sauce in bowl until well mixed.

Spread chipotle mayonnaise onto toasted-sides of bread. 

Layer bottom half of bread with turkey, bacon and cheese.

Broil bottom half only, 4 to 6 inches from heat, 1-2 minutes or until cheese begins to melt. 

Top with tomatoes, lettuce and toasted top half of bread.

Cut into 8 sandwiches.
